Water Heater Flushing and Descaling

Water Heater Flushing and Descaling Services in Sherbrooke

Keep your water heater running at peak efficiency with professional flushing and descaling services from Climatisation Sherbrooke. Over time, minerals found in tap water — particularly calcium and magnesium — settle at the bottom of your water heater tank, forming a thick layer of sediment and scale that forces your unit to work harder, consume more energy, and ultimately fail sooner than it should. Our technicians serving Sherbrooke and the surrounding Estrie region are trained to fully flush and descale both gas and electric water heaters, restoring heating capacity, cutting your energy bills, and protecting your investment for years to come.

Whether you live in Fleurimont, Mont-Bellevue, Lennoxville, Rock Forest, or any of the many communities we serve across the Eastern Townships — from Magog and North Hatley to Waterville, Compton, Windsor, and beyond — our team brings the right tools and expertise directly to your door. We work with all major water heater brands and tank sizes, and we always leave your equipment cleaner and more efficient than we found it.

Why Flushing and Descaling Your Water Heater Matters

Most homeowners in the Sherbrooke area don't think about their water heater until it stops working. But regular flushing and descaling is one of the most cost-effective maintenance tasks you can perform. Sediment buildup insulates the heating element or burner from the water, meaning your unit must run longer to reach the desired temperature. This translates directly into higher hydro or gas bills every single month. In severe cases, sediment can cause popping or rumbling noises, uneven hot water delivery, premature corrosion of the tank lining, and complete system failure. Annual or biannual flushing eliminates these risks before they become expensive problems.

Our Complete Flushing and Descaling Services Include:

• Full Tank Flush: We drain your water heater completely, flushing out accumulated sediment, rust particles, and mineral deposits that reduce heating efficiency and contaminate your hot water supply.
• Descaling Treatment: For electric water heaters, we carefully remove and inspect the heating elements, clearing away hardened scale that prevents proper heat transfer. For gas units, we treat the burner assembly and heat exchanger surfaces to restore full combustion efficiency.
• Cold and Hot Water Line Inspection: During the flushing process, we inspect inlet and outlet connections, dip tubes, and pressure relief valves to ensure everything is functioning safely and correctly.
• Anode Rod Check: We inspect the sacrificial anode rod — the component responsible for preventing tank corrosion — and advise replacement if it has been significantly depleted.
• System Efficiency Assessment: After completing the flush and descale, we run a full performance check to verify that your water heater is reaching set temperatures efficiently and that there are no signs of leaks, corrosion, or developing faults.
• Maintenance Schedule Recommendations: Based on your local water hardness and usage patterns, we provide personalized guidance on how frequently you should schedule flushing services to keep your system in top condition throughout the year.
